BACK TO CASE STUDIES

The Brief:

To be taken to conferences around Europe, we were asked to design and build an interactive experience to showcase the features that Google Maps has to offer - including showcasing how some of Google Maps current international clients plug into Google Maps APIs to great effect.

What We Did:

We built an application for a 65" PCAP touchtable to tour users around the globe. From a starting point of a customised Google Earth map, the user collects stamps on their passport for every pin they investigate - each pin representing a Google Maps case study.

The interactive experience was layered and had plenty of content to explore, from a fully functional and explorable Google Earth to over 20 zoomable pins and plenty of supporting content, a user on the stand could cut straight to the specific case studies that matched their interest, or they could play with the touch table for several minutes learning about the value that Google Maps adds on a global level, without being bombarded with too many dense facts and stats. A general aim was to educate through gamification.
