The Brief:

Develop a social media strategy and execution plan for the promotion of the launch of the new Thomson Local mobile application.

What We Did:

The campaign consisted of a mobile application hosted on the Thomson Local Facebook fan page. It was designed to help a new generation of men learn basic DIY tasks, how better to commission trades people and how to overcome their fear of dealing with household emergencies. It was crammed with features such as:

 

- Tradesman Translator

- Build up a knowledge in trade talk

- New Mobile applications

- Access tips and advice whilst on the go

- Facebook DIY surgeries

- Experts providing live tutorials to the online community
